Ten years ago, I started my journey as a Digital Designer. Of course, I started with 0 followers, no network of people in the field, etc. I had to carve my way through the industry. I tried to do it by myself, but I realized I was wasting a lot of time being unproductive, and not getting anywhere. I had no money, I was living in my father's house, and I was playing games instead of working, because I didn't know where to start. It took me a lot of Age Of Empires hours to realize something needed to change. But I finally got fed up of myself.

That's when I started studying the art of goal setting, and I quickly applied my learnings. At first, I didn't know what type of goals to set, what was realistic and what wasn't. But I decided I would write down my goals anyways, realistic or not. One of my goals was to work for the big Fortune 500 companies in 5 years, and another one was to work independently in 10 years.

Turns out, I worked for Nike 3-4 years after that, and here I am, 10 years later working as an independent designer together with my wife, and running our own business. Goal setting can be a powerful force that pulls you forward, and motivates you everyday to get out of bed and discipline yourself to achieve all you have set out to achieve.

That's why we thought it would be nice to share a Goal Setting exercise you.
